Accessory Overload
LOVING all of the belts.  Another one of my favorite accessories.  Belt anything from an oversized tee shirt or chunky knit to a sexy LBD.   Perfect for showing off your shape and adding that little extra to complete your look. Get the look here with any of these from J.Crew (www.jcrew.com)

Thrifty Thrintage
After writing about my fab fur find in my “J’adore Vintage” post, I felt the need to elaborate on just how much a gem this “thrintage” (thrift and vintage) boutique is.  Free ‘P’ Star sits on a cozy street in the Marais district- as I said before my favorite neighborhood of Paris.  The entire area is filled with chic shopping and great food.  When I first...

J'adore vintage
Okay, okay.  I know every day I say I have found my new favorite part about Paris, but this time I really have- Le Marais.  This neighborhood, primarily a Jewish neighborhood, and is also now the scene for the gays and trendiest fashionistas in Paris.  Definitely more my sort of place than the tourist filled Champs Elysées.  From the corner cafés filled with well dressed men, to the hole in the...

Fanny Pack Flashback
Okay, so we all remember the days when we wore fanny packs in the 90’s- I personally thought I was super cool with my Disney themed pouch in 1992- and we all know they made their comeback earlier this spring.  While in Louis Vuitton on Avenue Montaigne in Paris this weekend, talking myself out of spending way too much on an LV leopard print scarf (as if I really need another leopard print...

WatchWatch
This was amazing.  carrieinparis: Super inspired by this Hussein Chalayan fashion show (designer who made the Gaga “egg”)—by his exhibit at the Louvre you can tell he is a completely brilliant yet tortured soul. (16 minute show but I PROMISE worth the watch— the clothes LITERALLY move on the models)

Day 7: Avenue Montaigne
My first week in Paris came to an end and along with the weekend came the sun.  Since the weather was looking up I decided to take a much needed ‘Sex and the City’ stroll down the oh-so-glamorous Avenue Montaigne.  Although I am not staying in the perfect Plaza Athénée and didn’t embarrassingly fall inside of Dior, I did feel much like Carrie Bradshaw in absolute admiration and...

Street Style Sunnies
At last! The clouds have broken and the sun is actually brightening up the city of Paris.  I can finally dig out my Chanel sunglasses and wear them in the city where Chanel matters most.  When leaving to go take a peek at the Tour de France cyclists coming in along the Champs Elysées at the end of their long ride, I grabbed my camera to take some photos of other onlookers’ chic shades.     ...

Days 4, 5 and 6: Une édutiante de la mode
Quite a few days have passed since I took my first stroll down the streets of Paris and despite the consistent cold and dreary rain I am loving this city. Since my fashion business class has started, each day is filled with adventures to stylish destinations, and each evening overly filled with assignments. On the rainiest of days since I have been here, we headed out to the heart of the city to...

Rain, Rain, Go Away- How To Stay Chic on a Cold,...
Another rainy day à Paris.  It was 7:30 a.m. and all I could have wanted was some great rainy day gear that I wish I had brought with me.  Wet weather is not the easiest to look fashion-savvy in, even in the fashion capital of the world.  So what can you wear when it’s pouring buckets outside and still look fabulous?  Here are a few must-haves that I should have packed.  (From left to...

Brrr! What happened to summer?!
July 18th, Paris, France. 63 degrees, windy and rainy. Isn’t it supposed to be summer?  As I rummage through my sundresses, mini skirts and t-shirts searching for something warmer to wear I realize a trip to the nearest H&M for a sweater and leggings is desperately needed.  Instead of dressing for summer as I had planned, I’ll be dressed for fall and standing underneath an...
