Chloé RTW Fall 2012

Chanel RTW Fall 2012

The highly anticipated show yesterday morning in Paris did not disappoint, nor did Karl Lagerfeld’s use of new, change, and color. Luxe jewel tones, mix of textures, and plays on volume took over the crystal-covered runway. The suits, as always, were gorgeous and jackets took on new lengths and silhouettes.  The styling- from the long fingerless leather gloves, to the hand held bags and clutches, right down to the crystal-embroidered eyebrows from Lesage- was gorgeous as well. The kaleidoscopic details and chunky knit sweaters (let’s be real, they looked like they came straight off Zack Morris’ back in Saved by the Bell) were not my favorite pieces. But as the collection continued, the pieces became more sleek, chic, refined, and so Chanel.  A tweed and feather jacket in a complete monochromatic gray and black look followed by a lavender dress drowning in feathers and lace… It doesn’t get much better than that. In fact, does anything get better than Chanel?
